Being a member of the City Salesmen’s Club has been a huge asset to my life professionally and personally. There is no way I could have achieved the amount of success I’ve had in my career without the support of my fellow members. Additionally, when personal needs arise, there is no better feeling than knowing I have a list of business owners who are trustworthy and ready to respond at a moment’s notice.

I have been a member of the City Salesmen’s Club since 2001, and have found this group of men to be the most valuable business organization in my life. The members of the City Salesmen’s Club are the owners or key individuals in their respective companies, cover multiple categories of business including corporate and retail which benefit my company and personal needs, and have become a veritable wealth of wisdom to speak into my life. I have found that the men who comprise this nearly eighty year old organization are generous, professional, kind, forgiving, knowledgeable, trustworthy and willing to help others. No other business organization has the commitment, longevity, stability and fraternal personality as the City Salesmen’s Club of Birmingham AL. As evidenced by the testimonials of members who have been involved for decades, this has been the most single influential business organization in the last century of Birmingham Alabama.

I have been a member of the CSC for many years and can say with absolute certainty this has been one of the best experiences of my career. This is a sales club, designed to help our businesses and each other. Over time though, the unseen benefit for me has been a membership with a wealth of expertise and proven leadership with an unselfish willingness and dedication to help the other fellow.

There is no greater peace of mind than knowing the folks you rely on for crucial services are looking out for your best interest. The City Salesman’s Club gives me a group of partners who are not only trying to send me business, but are available to help me with the best experience on the services that I need. These men becomes friends, trusted advisors and partners in each others’ businesses. I’m the third member of my family to be involved in the City Salesman’s Club and I cannot imagine not being involved.

It has been an honor to have been a member of the City Salesmen’s Club for thirty years, like many of our members we are involved in other organizations, none are like our Club! As many current and retired members did, I joined our Club as a young salesman, from the first day as a Club member the senior men of the Club welcomed me with open arms, their genuine and heartfelt welcome made a lasting impression on me. Many of my closest personal friendships began at our Club, I consider that a true blessing. The fellowship the Club represents is very hard to find in society today. At the heart of our beginning we are a sales club, but it extends much further than that as ours is a fraternity and a brotherhood. Men like Deacon Joe Stephens, Keith Williams, Fritz Horst, Maurice McCain, Jim Lunceford, Joe Fuller, Fred Johnston, Larry Church, Bill Wright, Bill McDaniel and Gus Hogue paved our path, along with many others, to allow us to be a small part of a great Christian businessmen’s Club. I am proud to be a member of the City Salesmen’s Club!
